The Summer Program Assistant will work closely with the Eyelevel Gallery's Artistic Director the Programming Committee the Eyelevel Board of Directors various committees and participating artists to coordinate the gallerys ongoing core exhibitions and members initiatives as well as organize and execute a series of summer dinner talks Food for thoughts. . THE IDEAL CANDIDATE . qualifies for Young Canada Works as a student returning to full time studies in the fall . and has excellent organizational skills; effective communication and writing skills; knowledge of Halifaxs cultural community community organizations and businesses; a creative innovative and resourceful work ethic; experience working in gallery or artist-run contexts and with community initiatives; the ability to work alone and in a group setting; basic computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite; experience working within a budget; technical expertise related to computer design work and image management; bilingualism is an asset; . and is: adaptable able to work evenings & weekends; a returning student of Fine Arts Art History Museum or Cultural Studies Community Development or with related education and experience. .
