Legendary singer Tina Turner celebrated her 80th birthday on November 26th. And, to mark the occasion, she recorded a special video message for her fans to let them know she is happy and proud to be an 80-year-old woman.
Standing against a black background, Turner wore a long-sleeve black top and had blonde highlights in her chin-length brunette bob with bangs, and she smiled as she told fans how happy she is to have hit this milestone in life.

“Yes, I’m 80. What did I think, how did I think I would be at 80 — not like this, how is this — well I look great,” she said with a laugh. “I feel good. I’ve gone through some very serious sickness that I’m overcoming. It’s like having a second chance at life,” she explained with a big smile on her face.
Of course, fans rushed to social media to send their love and well-wishes to the singer, and that included numerous celebrities. Ronnie Woods from the Rolling Stones said he loved Turner, and called her “excitement personified.”
More birthday wishes came from The Who’s Pete Townshend, Ringo Starr from The Beatles, Bryan Adams, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Nile Rodgers, and Bebe Winans.
Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock in Nut Bush, Tennessee, on November 26, 1939, and she got her first taste of musical success when she was just 21 years old. After joining her husband Ike Turner for the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, she had her first hit with A Fool In Love. The duo produced more hits over the next two decades, including River Deep – Mountain High, Proud Mary, and Nutbush City Limits.

However, the pair eventually split in the late 1970s after Tina allegedly suffered years of abuse at the hands of Ike. She went on to launch a solo career with her major comeback hit What’s Love Got To Do With It, and that song ended up being the biggest hit of her career.
During her six-decade career, Tina Turner has won 12 Grammy Awards and had her life story turned into the award-winning biopic What’s Love Got To Do With It starring Angela Bassett as Tina Turner and Laurence Fishburne as Ike Turner.
